What does CharIN CCTS validation mean – and what does it not cover?
CCTS validation concerns a test system and the defined CharIN charging-system profile it can execute. It does not automatically certify every charger tested with that system, every system configuration or unrelated electrical-safety and metrology requirements.
Test area and evidence
| Test area | What to define or record |
|---|---|
| Validated subject | Named test-system configuration. |
| Profile | Published Basic or Extended DC EVSE scope. |
| Charger result | Its own executed test cases and certification route. |
| Other domains | Safety, installation and metrology need their own scope. |
Coverage depends on the configured hardware, interfaces, firmware and released test libraries. State the agreed method and normative edition in the result. No blanket certification or universal fault coverage is implied.
Questions about this test scope
What must the test record identify?
Identify the DUT, counterpart, firmware, configured interfaces, method, library version and measured result.
Can one result prove every supported variant?
No. Define which configurations and conditions the executed cases cover, and document any untested boundary.
How do I choose the related test setup?
Start with the DUT role and required interfaces, then agree the communication, electrical and power scope with the application team.
