Easy Chester Micro: AC EVSE installation tester

Commission AC charging stations and wallboxes with one compact EVSE installation tester. Easy Chester Micro combines grid-side and EV-side electrical safety tests, phase-sequence checks, charging-function tests and ISO 15118-2 communication with EIM authentication in a guided installation and inspection workflow.

Commissioning starts with electrical safety

Use the compact AC installation tester for commissioning, maintenance and periodic inspection of charging stations and wallboxes. Document the station, configuration and results for handover and repair verification.

Electrical safety on the grid side and EV side

Match the grid-side and EV-side electrical safety measurements, phase-sequence checks and charging-function tests to the installation and inspection plan. Assess the protective measures separately from whether the station starts charging.

AC ISO 15118 communication: available now and planned

AC ISO 15118-2 communication testing with EIM authentication is available now, alongside charging-function and safety tests. EIM stands for External Identification Means: charging is authorised through an external identification method. An ISO 15118-20 communication-test extension is planned for Q1/2027. It remains a roadmap item until release; its technical protocol scope is described below.

Maintenance and verification after repairs

Repeat the relevant checks after repairs or changes and during periodic inspection. Annual maintenance can be supported where it is part of the site’s maintenance plan; inspection intervals depend on the applicable requirements and operating conditions.

Which EVSE does Easy Chester Micro test?

Easy Chester Micro is a compact AC EVSE installation tester for charging stations and wallboxes. Use it for installation, commissioning, maintenance and periodic inspection. It combines configured grid-side and EV-side electrical safety tests, phase-sequence checks, charging-function tests and ISO 15118-2 communication with EIM authentication. DC charging tests require Easy Chester Ultimate.

Does Easy Chester Micro support ISO 15118-20?

An ISO 15118-20 communication-test extension is planned for Q1/2027. It remains a roadmap item until the corresponding release is available.

Why does testing remain relevant after 1 January 2027?

The delegated AFIR technical specifications introduce an EN ISO 15118-20 route from 1 January 2027 for relevant newly deployed or renovated public charging points. A tester remains important for demonstrating released protocol behaviour and creating evidence for the defined technical scope; it does not by itself prove complete AFIR conformity.

How is Easy Chester Micro different from Ultimate?

Micro provides the AC functionality of Ultimate, including installation, electrical safety, phase-sequence, charging-function and communication testing. Ultimate adds DC charging tests.
