What the validation covers

The announcement concerns the Charging System Basic and Extended DC EVSE scope within the CharIN Conformance Testing System programme. It addresses the test system and implementation of the applicable CharIN test cases.

A defined conformance route

The release refers to IEC 61851, DIN 70121 and ISO 15118 within that defined scope. The relevant CharIN umbrella documents, test-library release and system configuration determine which cases can be executed.

What this means for a test programme

Manufacturers and laboratories can use the applicable validated test configuration as part of their conformance workflow. Test-system validation does not itself certify a connected charging station or establish coverage of every ISO 15118 edition.
