The configuration

  • Integrated bidirectional DC CCS power circuit: 30 kW
  • Up to 1000 V and up to 80 A, within the 30 kW operating envelope
  • EV and EVSE simulation; Man-in-the-Middle with Sniffer
  • Higher power and Manipulating Gateway as future extensions

Integrated power with room to grow

The system includes a bidirectional DC CCS power circuit rated at 30 kW, with up to 1000 V and up to 80 A. These limits describe the operating envelope rather than a simultaneous maximum-power operating point. An upgrade to higher power classes is already planned, allowing the test environment to grow with the customer’s requirements.

Control the simulated charging station’s behaviour

With comframe and Professional EVSE Simulation, the system acts as the charging station. The customer can vary communication parameters, message contents and timing to investigate the vehicle’s response to unexpected messages or delayed answers and assess charging robustness beyond the normal sequence.

Investigate simulations and real charging sessions

EV and EVSE simulation and Man-in-the-Middle with a Sniffer extension are part of the configuration. Alongside testing with a simulated counterpart, the customer can analyse the actual interaction between a vehicle and a charging station.

Add Manipulating Gateway in the future

A future Manipulating Gateway extension will let the customer intervene in the communication between a real vehicle and a real charging station and change communication parameters during charging. This provides a way to investigate suspected causes of interoperability issues and observe their effects directly. The extension is not part of the current delivered scope.
