TEST ENGINEERING. KNOWLEDGE
How do you reproduce an EV–EVSE interoperability fault in the lab?
Record the real vehicle and charging station on a shared time base, including communication and available electrical measurements. Identify the first deviation, then reproduce the supported partner behaviour with a controlled simulator and compare the DUT response with the original event.
Test area and evidence
| Test area | What to define or record |
|---|---|
| Field record | Save pair identity, firmware, session and measurements. |
| First deviation | Compare request, signal and electrical response. |
| Lab reproduction | Map supported behaviour to the simulator. |
| Retest | Run the changed DUT under the same defined conditions. |
Coverage depends on the configured hardware, interfaces, firmware and released test libraries. State the agreed method and normative edition in the result. No blanket certification or universal fault coverage is implied.
Questions about this test scope
What must the test record identify?
Identify the DUT, counterpart, firmware, configured interfaces, method, library version and measured result.
Can one result prove every supported variant?
No. Define which configurations and conditions the executed cases cover, and document any untested boundary.
How do I choose the related test setup?
Start with the DUT role and required interfaces, then agree the communication, electrical and power scope with the application team.
