TEST ENGINEERING. KNOWLEDGE
Which tests does an EVSE end-of-line station need?
An end-of-line station needs a defined manufacturing acceptance plan for the finished charging unit. Select the applicable electrical, functional and communication checks, assign results to the unit identity and specify how failed or incomplete tests are handled.
Test area and evidence
| Test area | What to define or record |
|---|---|
| Identity | Serial number, hardware and firmware. |
| Acceptance plan | Required methods and limits per variant. |
| Automation | Fixture, interfaces and production integration. |
| Traceability | Complete result record and rework decision. |
Coverage depends on the configured hardware, interfaces, firmware and released test libraries. State the agreed method and normative edition in the result. No blanket certification or universal fault coverage is implied.
Questions about this test scope
What must the test record identify?
Identify the DUT, counterpart, firmware, configured interfaces, method, library version and measured result.
Can one result prove every supported variant?
No. Define which configurations and conditions the executed cases cover, and document any untested boundary.
How do I choose the related test setup?
Start with the DUT role and required interfaces, then agree the communication, electrical and power scope with the application team.
