Bring the reference measurement to the charging station
When a charging station measures electrical energy for billing, measurement accuracy and traceability matter. The infrastructure is already installed in the field, so the test equipment needs to reach the site where the measurement is made.
For this project, Easy Chester Calimera is fully integrated into a mobile test van. The institute can take its measurement environment to the charging station and work with the installed infrastructure on site.
Compare energy measurements under real charging conditions
The van provides a mobile environment for metrological testing and calibration of AC and DC charging stations. Specialists compare the EVSE’s energy measurement with the reference measurement equipment during an actual charging process.
The task extends beyond checking whether charging starts and stops. It examines the measurement on which the billed energy is based. The charging process provides the operating conditions for that comparison.
Integrate measurement technology and the field workflow
A metrology institute works with measurement accuracy every day. For its specialists, the integration of the equipment, its handling and the complete field workflow are part of the test environment.
