comframe Release 1.6.0 Brings the ISO 15118-21 Test Library for Charging Stations

comemso has released the ISO 15118-21 test library for charging stations (SECC) with the first part of the prioritised test cases: 82 test cases. It becomes available to customers in early November 2026 with comframe Release 1.6.0.

At a Glance

  • ISO 15118-21 test library for charging stations (SECC): 82 prioritised test cases
  • MCS: passive man-in-the-middle function, V2G timing judged according to ISO 15118-20
  • CHAdeMO cross-signal monitoring
  • Battery Cell Simulator: battery model with SoC curves in the user interface

ISO 15118-21 Test Cases for Charging Stations

ISO 15118-21 is the conformance test plan for the common requirements of ISO 15118-20. The new comframe test library addresses the charging-station side (SECC). Release 1.6.0 contains the first part of the prioritised test cases: 82 in total. As with the ISO 15118-4 and ISO 15118-5 libraries, the EVCA test system takes the vehicle role, and you select, execute and evaluate the test cases in comframe.

MCS: Passive Man-in-the-Middle

New in Release 1.6.0 is a passive man-in-the-middle function for MCS: comframe monitors the communication between vehicle and charging station without intervening. The MCS view also visualises the V2G timing and judges it according to ISO 15118-20.

CHAdeMO and Battery Cell Simulator

Release 1.6.0 adds cross-signal monitoring for CHAdeMO. For the Battery Cell Simulator, you configure the battery model in the user interface, including SoC curves. An example SoC curve is preset as the default value.

More in Release 1.6.0

The release also contains many smaller features and bug fixes. comframe Release 1.6.0 is available to customers from early November 2026. Contact comemso to plan the update for your test systems.
