comframe 1.1: simulation, gateway and end-of-line testing
The July 2025 comframe release extended protocol simulation, bidirectional message manipulation and AC/DC end-of-line workflows.
Challenge the simulated counterpart
Extended simulation functions let engineers vary message timing and timeouts. Additional messages help exercise the robustness of the communication state machine. These functions belong to the simulation workflow.
Manipulate communication between real partners
Manipulating Gateway changes DIN 70121 and ISO 15118-2 messages between a connected EV and EVSE in both directions. This is a separate workflow from changing the timing or message sequence of a simulated counterpart.
Define in engineering, execute in production
The release also extended AC and DC end-of-line functions with Expert and Production modes. The selected system, software release and licence define the available test functions.
