Environmental responsibility in everyday operations
At comemso, an ISO 14001 environmental management system connects practical measures in everyday operations with published operating data.
Our approach
Improve operations and review the results
We review energy use, mobility, buildings, materials, waste, employee involvement and legal obligations together to identify where we can improve.
Generate and procure renewable energy
We use electricity from our own PV systems first and cover the remaining demand with certified renewable electricity.
Reduce operational demand
We improve heating controls, insulation and lighting, select suitable equipment and monitor major electrical consumers.
Electrify mobility
Our vehicle fleet is predominantly electric. AC and DC charging infrastructure supports daily operations and product development.
Measure and disclose progress
We record energy, water, material use, waste and emissions, then publish the results and priorities for further improvement.

Operating data from the reporting period
The Environmental Report 2025 compares operating data from 2021 through 2025. The cards show the endpoints of that reporting period.

Reported operational CO₂
The figures describe company operations during the reporting period. Production volume, material use and high-power test demand changed over that time. The report does not provide a product life-cycle assessment.
Energy and buildings
Generate solar power and reduce building energy demand
PV systems on both company buildings were installed and commissioned in 2022 and 2023. Storage capacity and additional façade-mounted PV modules were expanded through 2026 to increase self-consumption and improve winter generation.
The remaining electricity demand is covered with certified renewable electricity. The newer building uses heat pumps. In the existing building, heating controls, thermal separation and high-insulation windows reduce gas demand.
Solar generation
Roof and façade PV systems generate electricity on both company buildings.
Renewable purchased electricity
Certified renewable electricity supplements on-site generation.
Efficient building systems
Heat pumps, improved heating controls, insulation and consumption monitoring help reduce building energy demand.
Higher self-consumption
Expanded storage helps us use more of the solar power we generate.
Operations
Manage mobility, materials, waste and water
Predominantly electric fleet
The report lists a fleet dominated by electric vehicles, with two diesel vehicles remaining in 2025. AC and DC charging stations support both operations and product testing.
Materials and recycling
We record material use and waste. Where feasible, we approach suppliers about taking back and recycling sorted plastics from production.
Water and substances
Water use, cleaning agents, solvents and other relevant substances are tracked. Substitution opportunities for hazardous substances are reviewed regularly.
The report explains why 2025 operational CO₂ remained close to 2024, including the use of a specialised field-calibration transporter.

Clear responsibilities and regular reviews
comemso’s environmental management includes a permanent environmental officer, employee training, internal participation, recurring audits and documented legal-compliance checks.
Defined responsibility
The environmental officer reviews processes independently of day-to-day production responsibility.
Employee participation
Employees contribute through training, information sharing and an internal suggestion system.
Audits and compliance
Internal and external audits, safety structures and legal-compliance checks help us review our obligations.
Measurable objectives
Our next priorities are to reduce external electricity demand, increase solar self-consumption and keep emissions growth below company growth.
