For EVSE testing, the charging station or SECC is the device under test and the system simulates a vehicle. For EV testing, the vehicle or EVCC is the device under test and the system simulates a charging station. Interoperability analysis observes a real EV-to-EVSE pair. Capabilities depend on the selected system, interfaces, hardware, software, licences, released test libraries and configuration. An active charging session does not itself prove electrical safety. Ultimate is an installation, function and safety tester for field work, not a standards-conformance tester. Certification and validation statements apply only to the named product, configuration and test profile. The Battery Cell Simulator emulates individual cell voltages and configured sensor signals for a real BMS. It tests controller behaviour, balancing and supported faults; it does not characterise battery chemistry or replace pack-level power equipment.
